Can my wife and family attend the convention with me?

Answer – YES, they are eligible for guest badges if you register for the convention.

Do I have to register for the convention to attend?

Answer – NO. There will be daily general admission available that enables you to enter the model room & vendor room. However, if you want to enter models in the contest or attend seminars you must register for the convention.

What is the cost of general admission?

Answer – General Admission Adult wristbands can be purchased for $15.00 each day or $40.00 for 4-Days which would grant you unlimited access to the model & vendor rooms, as well as allow you to display models (but not enter the contest).  Children under the age of 12 may enter free with a paid adult.

I have a family membership in IPMS, do I need to buy a convention registration for all my family members who want to enter the contest?

Answer – YES.  Your family membership will allow your family access to the event and display models under your event registration, but if they wish to enter the contest they will have to register individually. See Contest Rules I-1.

See Contest Rules I -7

What if I forget to pickup my models after convention?

Answer – DON"T !  The Convention Host is not responsible for making contact with the owners of missing models or shipping those models back.  All models left behind will be disposed of by the Hotel cleaning staff.

Do I have to stay at The Rio to attend the convention?

Answer –  NO -  There are many nice hotels, motels, time-share and travel resorts all just minutes away from the Convention site, but we believe we have secured a great price for the Rio which provides a lot of amenities including free parking.  Many of the resorts, especially those on The Strip charge for daily parking.  Note, that most hotels and motels in Las Vegas charge a $35 resort fee, an $11 room tax and 8.25% sales tax.  We’ve arranged a discounted $25 resort fee at the Rio.

If I am flying into Las Vegas for the Convention do I need to rent a car?

Answer – NO – The best way to get around Las Vegas is by taxis or Ride-Share (Uber, Lyft, etc) and these are available at McCarran Airport to get you to the Rio.  Once there you never have to leave the resort to have a great time, but if you wish to take advantage of all that Las Vegas has to offer than a rental car would be helpful.

Does the Rio offer a free shuttle to and from the Airport?

Answer – NO - Taxis and Ride-Share (Uber, Lyft, etc) are available at McCarran Airport to get you to the Rio and back again.
